On 1st April 2000, AENGEVELT celebrated its 90th anniversary. By way of a very special birthday present, the company and around 80 staff moved into the new corporate headquarters in a "Grade A" position on Düsseldorf's Kennedydamm at the end of May 2000.

After the purchase of the building from a well-known German insurance group and extensive renovation work - representing a total investment of over DM 22 million - the final result, masterminded by the renowned architects HPP, was one of Düsseldorf's most attractive office buildings. The eight-storey building with its black granite facade is one of three office complexes in the province of North-Rhine Westphalia (and the only one in Düsseldorf) with a dynamic, i.e. fully movable, glass exterior.
